Appointments

How to make an appointment.

If you need to see an Orthopaedic Surgeon, you may have suffered a traumatic injury and probably been to hospital only to be told that you may need further care, or you've been to see your GP and they have recommended you see a Surgeon about getting an expert opinion on your injuries.

In either case, the hospital or your GP will give you a referral to see a Surgeon. You will need a current referral to be able to see any specialist.

The best way to organise an appointment once you have a referral is to call our Reception staff on 02 6260 4777 and have them help you organise an appointment. They will walk you through what you need to do before the appointment and will organise any referrals for medical imaging (MRI, X-Ray) that you may need before the appointment. They will also email you a New Patient sheet that you can fill out and bring with you on the day.

The staff will ask you a number of questions that we need in order to make sure that you get the treatment that you need. But please be aware, that the staff are not Doctors and cannot offer any medical advice to you over the phone. Only our specialists can provide medical advice on how to best treat you injury.

You can also fill out the contact form and we will get back to you.

What to bring to the appointment:

  • Your referral
  • Your New Patient sheet
  • All relevant scans
  • Any relevant reports
